State Street Announces Acquisition of Complementa Investment-Controlling AG in Switzerland

With this new acquisition in Switzerland, State Street is buying another system vendor for the asset management market within the German speaking market alongside Princeton Financial Systems: Allocare is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Complimenta.

Deutsche Bank legt Auslagerung der Fondsadministration auf Eis

Der doch sehr lange Anlauf hatte es fast vermuten lassen: Allegro ist gestoppt (siehe auch vorherige Meldung). Zunächst, wie ist heißt. Das lässt Spekulationen jeden Raum, auch denen, dass es sich "nur" um Verhandlungstaktik handelt oder dass gar das angestrebte Einsparungspotential nicht ausreichend erzielt werden kann.

Deloitte jedenfalls, die die Deutsche Bank im Projekt unterstützt haben, ist Marktgerüchten zufolge bereits nicht mehr im Hause tätig.

Sparprogramm „Allegro“ lässt Deutsche-Bank-Mitarbeiter schwitzen

Was der Markt als Gerücht vorweggetragen hat, ist nun von der Deutschen Bank bestätigt, wie die Portfolio Institutionell berichtet.

Respektable 235 Millionen Euro will die Deutsche Bank einsparen - ein enormer Betrag, auch wenn er sich auf eine weltweite Umsetzung bezieht. Über Details hält man sich noch bedeckt; verständlich, wenn das Signing noch nicht erfolgt ist und insbesondere, weil es auch um Personalfragen geht.

Der Deal wirft aus operativer Sicht ein paar interessante Fragen auf: wie State Street beispielsweise die enorme Einsparung realisieren will. State Street hat mit der Axa bereits einen Kunden, der SimCorp als zentrales System im Back-Office einsetzt, und auch die Deutsche Bank setzt auf den deutschen Marktführer. Vielleicht ist hier ein möglicher Synergieeffekt zu erzielen?

Deutsche Bank to outsource fund admin -sources

This is the first public note on the possible deal - probably to stop the increasingly circulating rumors in the market.

Primary goal is to cut cost, the press release says, and focuses around the DWS primarily. I am keen to see how the outsourcing efforts will result in cost savings. State Street and Deutsche Bank both do run SimCorp Dimension...

Princeton Financial Systems kündigt die geplante Übernahme von Aquin an

Etwas überraschend hat Princeton Financial Systems, eine Tochter der State Street Corporation, die Übernahme der Aquin Components angekündigt (siehe auch offizielle Mitteilung von Aquin).

"Gemeinsam bieten Princeton Financial und Aquin eine Komplettlösung für institutionelle Investoren an", kommentiert James Russo, Präsident und CEO von Princeton Financial, die Übernahme.

Ziel soll es wohl sein, das Portfolio Management- und Fondsbuchhaltungslösung PAM von Princeton mit den Komponenten von Aquin zu ergänzen und beide Produktpaletten zu integrieren.

Zwei Fragen drängen sich hier für mich auf: zum einen, wie schnell eine solche Integration vorangetrieben werden kann; zum anderen, in wie weit Aquin dann noch wie bisher als unabhängiger Anbieter von ergänzenden Komponenten auftreten kann.
