Fund Accounting Systems on ZoomInfo
While researching and discussing the different systems I have found an interesting link with a nice listing of fund accounting systems. Seems that Zoominfo is much more than just finding business contacts...

Sleeping on the MIFID watch
This is another alarming report, predominantly from the french point of view, here focussing on custodians: "There’s been some talking but I’m not really sure they’re doing anything about it". The word is spread on the situation everywhere, but why isn't (almost) anything happening ?

This article focusses on the available options when selecting a transfer agency provider from CitiGroups point of view. It focusses on "multi" capabilities (multi-lingual, multi-currency, etc.).

Link Lists for Investment Systems from Front- to Back-Office
I have compiled lists for fund accounting systems (see the surveys on the resepective topic, here from Barrington), transfer agency (see also the Barrington survey), compliance and order / portfolio management systems and added them as link lists on this blog (displayed on the right side). They will constantly be updated.
You may find other overviews on WallStreetAndTech (in English) and BankersPlus (in German, you might have to register first). Also interesting is the survey from Investment Advisor Association or the general surveys from Celent, or on specific issues on requirements for those systems at SourceMedia.
GCEY and KPMG also do surveys, but the the last publicly available survey on fund accounting systems I found is from 2004.

Bank Lounge: MiFID Online-Studie

COMIT acquired International Financial Business Solutions
The headline is: COMIT, a Swisscom Company, has acquired International Financial Business Solutions (IFBS AG), a leading Securities Finance and Collateral Management software application provider. This is one of several steps to come that Comit will do in order to follow their defined strategy: moving more into the corporate banking world. With the power of their stakeholder, the Swiss telco giant Swisscom, this should be rather easy. Just have to wait and see how this all fits together...
