American Century Investments selects SimCorp Dimension

Slowly but surely SimCorp acquires more customers in the USA - American Century Investments is the latest deal, and not a small one neither (78 billion AuM).

SimCorp signs Nomura Bank (Luxembourg) S.A.

SimCorp strikes again - this time it's in Luxembourg. Nomura Bank, a fund administrator, will be using SimCorp Dimension for its fund accounting.

As an interesting side note: Germany's MainTrust belongs 100% to Nomura. Maintrust is using Sungards V3, which will cease to be regularly supported after 2010.

Austrian Oberbank and 3 Banken-Generali Investment choose SimCorp Dimension

Two more closed deals for SimCorp - an overall impressing year for SimCorp!

The respective usage of these new customers seem to be totally different:

Oberbank will use SimCorp Dimension as its strategic investment management solution covering depositary banking, fund administration, IFRS and compliance.

3 Banken-Generali Investment will use SimCorp Dimension as its systems platform for risk management and performance attribution. I'm curious what were the reasons for them not to choose SimCorp dimension as their fund administration system...

Nachtrag vom 10.

CBP Luxembourg Selects Thomson eXimius As Private Client Wealth Management Solution

This is the first deal for Thomson's wealth management product eXimius in the central European markets that I have heard of ever since eXimius was acquired.

Most interesting in this press release was the mentioning of the selection process that must have been a rather big one. I wonder how eXimius won against systems like Odyssey's TripleA or Expersoft's PM1. Seems that Thomson has beefed up heavily eXimius' funtionality.

AIG Switzerland chooses Charles River for Compliance

This selection shows that Charles River can be used as a "compliance alone" tool and that this also is recognized by the market.

Upcoming events

Summer is over and conferences are due - the September offers three interesting events: the "IT-Fondsprocessing", the "BVI Asset Management" (both Germany) and the ALFI&NICSA (Luxembourg). All of them are listed in the "Upcoming Events" section on the right panel.

I will be speaking at the "IT-Fondsprocessing" about the selection and migration of fund accounting systems (please find this presentation here).

In case you will attend, let me know so we can have a chat there...

Yet another client for SimCorp: Ashmore Investment Management Limited, an investment manager in the UK and with 31.6 billion US $ not exactly small, is dedicated to emerging markets.

West LB AG Selects Asset Control for Global Data Management

With this deal, Asset Control seems to further reinforce their dominant position in the market for reference data systems in Germany. I am very interested to see if more KAGs (investment companies) in Germany will make the heavy investment for such a reference data system.

"Erste Bank Group" chooses Simcorp

Simcorp ist having a new client in Austria (Vienna): "Erste Bank Group", more concretely the "Erste Sparinvest", will be using Simcorp from front to back within the whole group, for both mutual and institutional funds. This is Simcorp's first customer in Austria to use it in both depository banking and fund management. Quite a success for Simcorp. Question is if this will be a signal for other major banks in Austria, who are currently investigating their future systems.

Victorian Funds Management Corporation chooses SimCorp Dimension

Seems that Simcorp is getting a foot in the door not only in the United States of America, but also in Australia with their 5th client there (article altered, see comment).
